Check the old filter label and your fridge manual. Have a towel ready and follow the water-supply instructions before removal.
Use the guide for your filter compartment. Follow its release and locking steps, and never force a connector into place.
Flush as directed by your fridge and cartridge instructions. Check for leaks, then reset the filter reminder using your model’s controls.
This is GE’s XWF video. This replacement is for compatible XWF housings; it does not replace a filter required for an XWFE-only system.
